ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announces ROG Swift PG248Q, a competition-grade gaming monitor that provides seamless visuals and super-smooth gameplay. ROG Swift PG248Q has a 16:9 aspect ratio 24-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) panel. In addition, it features an overclockable 180Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and NVIDIA® G-SYNC technology for incredibly smooth and fast gameplay. Designed specifically for eSports, ROG Swift PG248Q is the official monitor of ESL ONE Cologne 2016 and The International 2016.

Ultra-smooth 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time

The 24-inch ROG Swift PG248Q monitor features a native 144Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to an astonishing 180Hz. This gives gamers ultra-smooth, fast-moving gaming visuals with no lag or motion blur, making ROG Swift PG248Q ideal for first-person shooters, racing, real-time strategy and sports titles. In addition, ROG Swift PG248Q has a 1ms response time to eliminate smearing and motion blur, so users can react instantly to what happens onscreen.

Gain a competitive edge with NVIDIA technologies

ROG Swift PG248Q features NVIDIA G-SYNC display technology to deliver the smoothest, fastest, and most breathtaking visuals imaginable. G-SYNC synchronizes the monitor’s refresh rate to the PC’s NVIDIA GeForce® GTX graphics card to eliminate screen tearing and minimize display stutter and input lag. Users can fully experience ROG Swift PG248Q’s 180Hz refresh rate with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or higher graphics processor.

ROG Swift PG248Q is also compatible with the NVIDIA 3D Vision® 2 kit to open up a world of 3D entertainment. All that is required is an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card-equipped PC and 3D glasses for a more immersive gaming and movie experience. The latest NVIDIA 3D LightBoost provides brighter 3D visuals, without an increase in energy consumption.

Exclusive ASUS GamePlus and GameVisual technologies

ROG Swift PG248Q features the ASUS GamePlus hotkey for in-game enhancements like a crosshair overlay, an onscreen timer, a frames per second (FPS) counter and a display-alignment function.

The crosshair overlay provides four different crosshair options; while the onscreen timer positioned on the left of the screen helps gamers keep track of elapsed gaming time. The FPS counter lets users know how smoothly the game is running. The display alignment function provides three alignment lines on all four corners of the monitor to take the guesswork out of multi-display setups.

ROG Swift PG248Q also features ASUS GameVisual technology to give users up to six preset display modes (Scenery, Racing, Cinema, RTS/RPG, FPS (First-Person Shooter) and sRGB) to suit different game genres. This unique feature can be easily accessed via a hotkey.

Extensive connectivity options

ROG Swift PG248Q has a wide array of connectivity options including DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI. Two USB 3.0 ports provide convenient pass-through connectivity at speeds that are up to 10 times (10X) that of USB 2.0, and can also be used to quick-charge mobile devices.

Ultra-Low Blue Light technology & ergonomic design for gaming comfort

ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology has four different blue-light filter settings that can be easily-accessed in the onscreen display (OSD) menu via a five-way joystick. Flicker-Free technology also helps reduce onscreen flicker for a more comfortable marathon gaming experience.

ROG Swift PG248Q has undergone stringent performance tests and is certified by TÜV Rheinland laboratories, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services, to be flicker-free and to emit low levels of blue light.

ROG Swift PG248Q has a super-narrow bezel and VESA wall-mountable design that makes it ideal for almost-seamless multi-display setups. It has an ergonomically-designed stand with tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment, so users can find their ideal viewing position for comfortable marathon gaming sessions. A cable-management design feature found on the monitor stand helps users keep their gaming area tidy and free from tangled wires.
