We love doing up our rigs just as much as the next guy, but we have limited skills and also very limited budgets. These guys showcasing their builds at ServerDNA 3.0 obviously have an excess of talent, and thanks to the sponsors Seagate and other brands, are able to turn their creative imagination into reality. Let’s go!

Hamman Chronicle

This monstrosity of a mod didn’t need a table to rest on. It’s so massive, the monitor is mounted on the entire build. A certain renowned local modder told me that the build actually comes with a customized table for peripherals, which didn’t make an appearance. A pity, because I would have loved to just sit there and play some shooters on this. Just the amount of piping and liquid in them is enough to make me wonder, how did this build even come to fruition? This mod took home two awards at ServerDNA 3.0, simply because it’s the best mod there.

Buckroger Endevour

This modder is really amazing at creating builds that are not only cool, but also supremely practical. If anyone remembers, this is the same guy behind the Kylo Ren dual-rig build that we also fell in love with at Casemod Invitational Malaysia Edition 2016. Khairul actually uses this as his personal rig, and the open hard disk actually worked before some unfortunate mishap befell it. Never knew it would work, but it does, and you can say that we are impressed. Aren’t hard disks supposed to be sealed for a reason? Well, not for modders like Buckroger.

Chang Them Hong (Rextech)

We probably know Rextech as the PC builders who builds amazing rigs at reasonable prices. We ourselves go to them when we need a new PC, when we can afford one. Who knew that the guy behind it is great at modding too? This rig has a diorama set in it, complete with little humans and Gundams that tower over them! There’s even a matching frame for a monitor, which played Gundam episodes through out the event. Cool stuff!

Afiqghani

This guy is no stranger in the PC modding scene. His quest in the scene started when he joined Mod ‘n Go Design. And he has grown prolifically. This is actually Mk.2 of his very own custom Prototype case built entirely from scratch. His cool design has attracted sponsors like Cooler Master, as you can see from the UFO-like Cooler Master G100M CPU cooler.

Ziyang Sun (Vikingdom)

This build incorporates Vikingdom’s own products into it, while also disguising the piping as part of the entire frame structure! This is probably the cleanest open-air build in the show.

Zulkhairol Yacob (UTPgame)

He calls this the PROJECT: SAW THE DEATH TRAP. Probably that’s why no one put their hands into the very inviting hole on the front of the case. It is inspired by the gory Saw movies, but there isn’t enough blood here. Maybe the RGB should have been set to blood red to further drive home the point?

He also did a mod for a Intel NUC. Who would have imagined even a NUC could attract modders’ attention? Well here’s his. He added a handle of sorts to make it even more portable than it already is. A really nifty mod, and I was truly surprised that no one tried to carry it home.

Wan Mohd Bazli (Titan Tech)

The man behind Titan Tech, this is a cool build based off a MasterBox Lite 3.1. It’s pretty obvious that this build is inspired by Captain Marvel Captain America. Just look at the precisely cut profile of Chris Evans!

A build clad in Seagate livery! It looks pretty simple, but there is a full custom liquid loop cooling the CPU, and the GPU cover definitely emphasizes the sponsor for this build.

Fandango

I called this the ghetto Mac Pro. It shares a pretty similar concept, with a single fan at the top, and a cylindrical shape. Inside is a mini ITX board, which should prove a lot more convenient to upgrade than the system that inspired this build. This is also one of the few builds that didn’t have fancy RGB all around, and instead opted for just red lighting.

YNDK

This guy must be a hardcore fan of Batman, as the entire build is based on the Batcave. The entire rig looks amazing, but unfortunately the metal pipes used to construct the frame is not part of the cooling system. I mean, that would have been insanely cool, right? The Bat Mobile on top makes sure you get the point here.

Ban Dinh Nguyen

The sheer R&D needed to make these clear waterblocks must have been a massive undertaking, and the only thing that could top that was that he managed to successfully pull it off not once, but twice. For two different processors with different sized heatspreaders! As if the two insanely cool watercooled rigs weren’t enough, there is a tiny SFF build too!

Espada WC

The Miku doll was actually put to sleep towards the end of the event. Perhaps standing on the GPU was too tiring for Miku? For the otakus out there, this is probably their dream rig. While there is an official Hatsune Miku PC case somewhere out there, this is a custom one, complete with the turquoise colored liquid running in the loop. Only one thing could have made this build even better for fans of the Vocaloid: a holographic side panel with Miku dancing.

Abdullah Shahid (Psycholunatic Mod)

Lots of clear plastic was used for this mod. Two sets of custom reservoirs were used in this built, as well as an EK monoblock for the ROG Rampage VI Extreme. This build is awesome not only in terms of its looks, but also its performance. Definitely wouldn’t mind this on my desk.

Panji Pamungkas

This shuriken-inspired mod is the brainchild of an Indonesian modder. Not too sure what’s the inspiration behind the dinosaur in the rig on the cables, but this is an amazing looking rig that packs a fully water-cooled rig into a body that can fit on any table.

Zeddy Buddy

Well, he has collected all the Infinity Stones. This rig by Zeddy Buddy throws down the gauntlet with heavy use of gold-colored carbon fiber trim and gleams among the other scratch builds.
