The folks at Samsung Malaysia has today announce the latest and improved Samsung Galaxy SmartTag+ where it’s equipped with both Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and ultra-wideband (UWB) technology.

Thanks to its BLE and USB support, you can use AR (Augmented Reality) technology to find your missing item. The AR Finder guides you on your UWB-equipped smartphone that allows it to show you how far you are from your Galaxy SmartTag+ and points towards its direction. Once near enough, you choose the option for it to ring loudly for an easier time of finding it.

It can be attached to everyday items such as a backpack, keychain, so you can find them even if you’ve misplaced them. By leveraging SmartThings Find’s detection capabilities, you can find tagged items even on a map or even it’s somewhere very far away from where you are. Samsung has said that all data in SmartThings Find is encrypted and protected, so the tag’s location isn’t revealed to anyone else but you.

In addition to that, the SmartTag+ and SmartTag can also act as remote controls. Through the SmartThings app, you can choose different function you would like your tag to complete when you press or hold down the tag button.

Samsung Malaysia is hosting a promotional campaign from now till the 30th of June 2021 where you can save up to 26% upon purchase of selected Galaxy SmartTag or Galaxy SmartTag.

Pokdepinion: It’s definitely something that you’d want to get if you’re someone who misplace items easily. Having one wouldn’t be enough I think. But the question is, would you spend money for the tags?
