Canon Introduce New Powershot G1 X Mark III – First Canon Camera With Dual Pixel CMOS AF And APS-C Sized CMOS Sensor!

Canon has recently introduce their latest compact camera, the Canon Powershot G1 X Mark III, which is the first Canon camera to feature Dual Pixel CMOS AF and an APS-C sized CMOS sensor.

The Canon Powershot G1 X Mark III is equipped with DIGIC 7 image processor. It is designed with a 24-72mm 24.2MP with f/2.8 – f/5.6 IS lens with 3x optical zoom, capable of capturing a wide range of subjects and achieving shallow depth of field. It features a high resolution EVF (Electronic View Finder) at 2.36 million dots, while weighing in at only 399g.

In addition, it comes with a built-in noise reduction technology, so you can take shots with suppressed noise even at high ISO speeds, making it ideal for outdoor shots and night scenes.

It is capable of attaining continuous shooting speeds of 7fps during AF tracking and 9fps when using AF fixed. Users can touch and shift focus points while looking through the electronic viewfinder, making it easy to track those moments with ease. With its movie shooting function, it can capture a rate of 60p in Full HD.

If you would like to go beyond the normal photoshoot, Canon also prepared an optional underwater casing for the camera. Users can capture underwater up to a depth of 40 meters. Users can also correct white balance using the underwater scene mode, with the effects matching that of a commercially color compensating filter. For durability, the casing is both dust proof and drip proof.

Coming with both WiFi and NFC, users can easily pair the camera with their smart devices for sharing images and videos on their social media platform. Besides that, Canon’s Camera Connect app lets you to have real-time control over the camera settings. It also comes with a built-in Bluetooth low energy technology that helps maintain connection with compatible devices at a low power consumption, so you can view images and start remote capture from the camera even when in Auto Power Off mode.

Pokdepinion: It’s nice that they made an underwater casing for the camera, but the camera casing itself is already too expensive for me. Well, I guess it depends on one’s budget.
