Four Malaysians In Shortlist Of 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Open Competition
The World Photography Organisation today has revealed the shortlisted photographers for the Open and Youth competitions of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards, where it included four Malaysian photographers who’s shots was some of the world’s best single images taken in 2018.
This comes as a proud moment for the country as the 2019 Awards received its highest number of entries, where there’s a total of 326,997 participants took part from 195 countries. The four representatives from Malaysia include Laily Hassan, Chee Yen Chuan, Eng Chung Tong, and Roslan Nasir.
The Open shortlist comprises stunning works selected across ten diverse categories. All shortlisted and winning images will be exhibited as part of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards Exhibition in London from 18th of April until 6th of May 2019 before touring globally. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in London on April 17.
