All three lenses are said to deliver high image quality and beautiful bokeh in a lightweight and compact design, at least according to Sony. They can be paired with a Sony full-frame camera or APS-C, offering fast, precise, and quiet autofocus capabilities. They can be used for a wide range of uses such as snap shooting, portraiture, and landscape shots.

It’s worth noting that all three lenses are of the same size (68mm x 45mm) and have the same filter diameter (49mm). They offers high image quality that you’d expect from a G Lens while also being compact and lightweight.

Despite being compact, the lenses feature a focus hold button, focus mode switch, aperture ring, and Aperture click switch for expansive operability. Aside from that, they come with two linear motors to deliver fast autofocus with tracking performance, making them ideal for snapping moving subjects.

Pokdepinion: A quiet autofocus for me doesn’t really help much when it comes to photography. It is however ideal if you’re shooting videos. You’d definitely not want any other sound other than what you’re focusing on. They do however seem like a perfect companion lens for the recently launched Sony Alpha a7C and Sony FX3 with its small footprint and compact size. It might signal that Sony is priming towards a full lineup of cinematic lens, with usage of geared ring, consistent ring placement, and strategic focus length of 24mm, 40mm, and 50mm. We might expect 75mm, 105mm or other ranges soon! As for the price, it’s an absolute steal considering they’re from the premium G Lens series.
