Corsair subsidiary SCUF Gaming has launched a brand new gamepad that improves on the PS5 DualSense controller, the SCUF Reflex. What’s different with this one and is it worth getting? Let’s find out.

SCUF Reflex Gamepad: A DualSense Alternative for the PS5?

The SCUF Reflex is basically a series of modified DualSense controller that is compatible with the PS5 and PC. You have the standard model, the Pro model, and one that is geared specifically for FPS gamers.

The base model SCUF Reflex features back paddles that can remapped, interchangeable analog sticks, and built-in memory to for custom game profiles. The Pro model is basically the same, but with extra grip textures so it’s easier to hold.

As for the SCUF Reflex FPS, it removes two specific features to make it more suitable for FPS games; adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. Instead, the triggers are said to be “instant” for faster actuation while the removal of haptic feedback is to allow you to focus better in the game. It’s also the priciest among the three gamepads.

As for pricing, the base model SCUF Reflex will be retailing for USD $199.99 (RM844.86) while the Pro variant will be slightly pricier at USD $229.99 (RM971.59). The FPS model on the other hand will be retailing for USD $259.99 (RM1,098.33). Purchasing it via the international website will cost an additional USD $29.99 for delivery, but the first batch has apparently sold out so you’ll wait for the next batch.

Pokdepinion: I’m personally very curious as I would be wondering if it’s worth going for this over the original DualSense controller for the PS5. Those additional back paddles would be super useful for a lot of games, but the price is quite high up there.
