CES 2021: Acer Unveils Chromebook Spin 514 And New Predator Plus Nitro Gaming Monitors

Acer has recently unveiled their first Chromebook that comes with new AMD Ryzen 3000 C-Series Mobile Processors that’s paired with AMD Radeon graphics in the form of the Acer Chromebook Spin 514. In addition to that, they’ve also introduced their latest lineup of Predator and Nitro gaming monitors.

Acer Chromebook Spin 514

The Chromebook Spin 514 utilizes high-performance AMD Ryzen Mobile Processors which are based on the Zen architecture, which the company claims to offer consistent responsiveness, fast boot times as well as long battery life.

There’s models such as an AMD Ryzen 7 3700C or Ryzen 3500C quad-core processor with AMD Radeon Vega Mobile Graphics built in to choose from.

Offering up to 10 hours of battery life, the Chromebook Spin weighs 1.55kg and measures at 17.35mm thin. You can expect it to come with up 16GB DDR4 RAM and up to 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Aside from that, the Chromebook Spin 514 is MIL-STD 810H military-grade compliant, offers 14-inch Full HD touch IPS display that’s covered with Corning Gorilla Glass and consists of 2 USB Type-C ports, DisplayPort over USB-C, USB charging, 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a microSD card reader.

The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 starts from the price of US$479,99 (~RM1,944).

Acer Predator XB273U NX

Next we head to the monitor section of the article where Acer has introduced not one but three new displays at CES 2021. First up is the Acer Predator XB273U NX, a 27-inch monitor with WQHD (2560 x 1440) panel, 275Hz refresh rate, and up to 0.5ms response time.

The HDR capable monitor covers 95% of the DCI-P3 spectrum to offer vibrant colors and deeper blacks. It comes with NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer support and NVIDIA G-SYNC to provide tear-free gaming.

Acer Predator XB323QK NV

Up next is the Acer Predator XB323QK NV gaming monitor, a 31.5-inch NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible UHD (3840 x 2160) gaming monitor that comes with 144Hz refresh rate. On top of the buttery smooth display, the monitor comes with 90% of DCI-P3 Wide Color Gamut coverage. It also includes Acer’s Agile Splendor IPS and a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification.

Both the new Predator XB3 series gaming monitors offer Acer VisionCare 4.0 which helps protect users eye during longer gaming sessions or usage. It includes LightSense, which adjusts the monitor’s brightness based on ambient lighting.

The Acer Predator XB323QK NV is priced at US$1,199.99 (~RM4,862)

Acer Nitro XV282K KV

Last on the list is the Acer Nitro XV282K KV, a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) gaming monitor that comes with a 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio to display sharp visuals and covers 90% of the DCI-P3 wide color gamut.

Offering AMD FreeSync Premium, the monitor comes with a 144Hz refresh rate panel that boasts 1ms response time. Aside from that, it comes with HDMI 2.1 and a cable for hassle-free support for the latest gaming consoles at 4K UHD 120Hz with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).

In addition to that, the new Acer Nitro XV2 comes with Acer HDR 400 and liquid crystal IPS for increased image quality, while Acer VisionCare 3.0 helps in reducing eye strain experienced by heavy usage.

The Acer Nitro XV282K KV monitor is priced at US$ 899.99 (~RM3,646).

Pokdepinion: Out of the three monitors, I’d fancy the Nitro XV282K KV simply because of its HDMI 2.1 support. The reason? Well you know why ;)
