Just moments ago, Acer unveiled the lids off of the Predator Helios 700 at next@acer in New York, where it features a unique HyperDrift forward-sliding keyboard that helps in thermal performance.

Powering the machine is up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or 2070 GPU graphics. In terms of memory, it offers up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM inside.

Additionally, it has Killer DoubleShot Pro with Killer Wi-Fi AX 1650 and E3000, delivering up to four times more network capacity in dense environments than previous generation wireless AC networks. Other than that, its display is a 17-inch 144Hz FHD IPS, which comes with 3ms response time and NVIDIA G-sync. There’s also five speakers and a subwoofer to keep the games immersive and engaging.

With its HyperDrift keyboard, it is a part of the laptop’s thermal architecture, which consists of two of Acer’s 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, five copper heat pipes, a vapor chamber, and Acer CoolBoost technology.

By simply sliding the keyboard forward, two additional air intakes are uncovered above the keyboard and below the display, offering better thermal performance.
