Acer Predator Helios 300 and Acer Nitro 5 Refresh Launched in Malaysia

Aside from the beginning of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/21 Grand Finals, Acer Malaysia has officially unveiled the newly refreshed Acer Predator Helios 300 and Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptops. Let’s see what’s new this time around.

Acer Predator Helios 300 Refresh

The newly refreshed Acer Predator Helios 300 is the first Predator gaming laptop in Malaysia to come with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. It’s also powered by the Intel Core i7-10870H and features dual PCIe NVMe SSD storage with an additional M.2 slot and HDD slot. As for RAM, the 8GB DDR4 RAM can be upgraded up to 32GB. You get a 4-zone RGB keyboard with concave-shaped see-through keycaps for WASD and arrow keys.

It utilizes a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with slim bezels and 144Hz refresh rate. To further enhance the immersion factor, you get DTS:X Ultra Audio and 3D simulated surround sound. Apart from that, you have dedicated Turbo and PredatorSense keys for easy overclocking and one-click turbo boost for enhanced performance. To ensure that the system runs cool, you have the dual AeroBlade 3D fans for maximum efficiency.

The Acer Predator Helios 300 comes in 2 variants with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 and retails for RM5,999 for the Intel Core i7-10870H but is also available at RM5,299 for the Intel i5-10500H variant. It’s currently available at all Acer official online stores and authorized resellers nationwide.

The Acer Nitro 5 is the more affordable gaming laptop with a focus on value. The refresh brings the 11th Gen Intel Core CPU and a revamped cooling system to the table. You also get up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU, 8GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM (upgradable to 32GB), and 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD with an additional M.2 slot for storage upgrade flexibility.

The newly refreshed Acer Nitro 5 will retail for RM4,399 for the Intel Core i7-11370H variant while the Intel Core i5-11300H variant will be retailing for the more affordable price of RM3,799.
