CES 2021: Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 is Coming to Malaysia

If you’ve been planning to get a new gaming laptop, this might just be a good time as the Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 is now available in Malaysia, both of them powered by the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series GPU.

CES 2021: Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 is Coming to Malaysia

As revealed in CES 2021, the Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 have finally arrived in Malaysia. Both gaming laptops offer souped up specifications over their respective predecessors, the R3, with better CPU and GPU options, most notably the addition of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series.

Both laptops will have the Intel Core i7-10870H CPU as a standard option, with the base model coming in the with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. If you want something stronger, an additional RM1,000 will get you an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 instead.

The refresh rate for the Alienware m15 R4 can go as high as 300Hz for the Full HD version but if you want, you can opt for a 4K OLED display with Tobii Eyetracking technology but it only goes up to 60Hz. As for the Alienware m17 R4. you can opt for a Full HD display with G-SYNC native support with refresh rate options of either 144Hz or 360Hz. The 4K OLED with Tobii Eyetracking is also available as an option for this model as well.

Both gaming laptops can have up to 32GB DDR4 2933MHz RAM with storage maxing out at either a single 2TB SSD or two 1TB SSDs. As we’ve previously reported, the Alienware m15 R4 will start from RM10,999 whereas the larger m17 R4 will start at a slightly lower RM10,799.

Pokdepinion: I’m still happy with the m15 R3 as it still works great, but if you don’t own the R3, the R4 is definitely an attractive option.
