AMD Ryzen-powered Acer Swift 3 Launched in Malaysia
Apart from the freebies with the pre-orders of the Acer Spin 3, Acer Malaysia also had a surprise for everyone. This is in the form of the new Acer Swift 3, which also includes one that is powered by the AMD Ryzen Mobile 4000 series CPU.
The Acer Swift 3 balanced power, efficiency, and style with its light and thin body and power-packed performance. It is the first AMD Ryzen 5 4500U CPU laptop to be officially available for immediate purchase in Malaysia.
It comes with a speedy 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD and up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM. It also comes with Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 for a more consistent, reliable wireless internet connection. As for wired connection, it has a full function USB Type-C with support for USB 3.1 Gen2, DisplayPort, and Thunderbolt 3.
The display on the Acer Swift 3 is a 14-inch Full HD IPS display but with a body footprint that is 10% smaller. It has an 83.65% screen-to-body ratio and is a very portable machine at just 1.2kg in weight and 15.95mm thin. It is said to have fast-charging, with 30 minutes of charge resulting in up to 4 hours of battery life.

The Acer Swift 3 powered by AMD Ryzen 5 4500U will be retailing for RM2,599. The Intel Core i5 variant will be retailing for RM3,099. Lastly, the Intel Core i7 variant with GeForce MX250 dGPU will be retailing for RM4,299. All three variants will come with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 pre-installed with a license valid for a lifetime.
