The Predator Helios laptops are designed for performance and will include the latest components from Intel and NVIDIA, including up to 32GBs of DDR5-4800 RAM and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD in RAID 0. The components will be cooled by “dual custom-engineered fifth-gen AeroBlade 3D metal fans and vector heat pipes in the shape of rectangles for improved heat transfer,” according to Acer.

The Helios 16 will have three 2560 x 1,600 resolution display options with refresh rates of 165Hz or 240Hz, or a Mini LED panel with a 250Hz refresh rate, 100% P3 color gamut, and peak brightness over 1,000 nits. The 18-inch Helios has the same panel options, as well as an entry-level 1920 x 1200 resolution display at 165Hz.

The Helios 16 is expected to be released in March starting at USD $1,650, while the Helios 18 is expected to be released in April 2023 with a starting price of USD $1,700. Both laptops will be available in Europe a month earlier than in the US.

Pokdepinion: I was hoping to see a gigantic, TV-replacement gaming monitor but it’s still something. I already have my eyes focused on the Predator Helios 18 as I’m expecting it to perform as big as it looks.
