The folks over at ASUS Malaysia has officially revealed details on their first line of gaming laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards inside coming to Malaysia, and it’s surprisingly a lot sooner than you think.

The first line of laptops will be two models; the ASUS ROG Strix Hero II and the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II. It will come with either the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or RTX 2070 cards, with the option of a 15.6-inch display and a 17.3-inch display, as well as 144Hz panels for all of them. It’s worth noting that these are not NVIDIA Max-Q GPUs.

I’m sure many of you are curious about the price, so here it is:

  • ASUS ROG Strix Hero II GL504G-VES044T (15.6-inch + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU) = RM6,499
  • ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II GL704G-VEV028T (17.3-inch + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU) = RM6,999
  • ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II GL504G-WES053T (15.6-inch + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU)  = RM8,999
  • ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II GL704G-WEV046T (17.3-inch + NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU) = RM9,299

All of these laptops will be officially available in Malaysia starting 29th January 2019 at precisely 10PM. As to where you can buy them, click right here to find out.

Pokdepinion: Personally, I feel like the leap in price from the RTX 2060 variant to the RTX 2070 is a bit too high, which might push people away from it and opt for the RTX 2060 variants instead. Either way, I’m very excited to take these laptops for a spin. Expect a review from us sooner rather than later.
