While HONOR Malaysia has just recently launched the HONOR MagicBook 14 packing the same AMD Picasso APU as the original HONOR MagicBook, HONOR is already gearing up to refresh the HONOR MagicBook lineup with the latest AMD Ryzen 4000 processors. The date has been set for 16th July, and it seems that HONOR will only be releasing AMD-based options on that day.

HONOR MagicBook 14 Review-13

There will reportedly be new MagicBook 14, MagicBook 15 as well as MagicBook Pro laptops. The MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15 is expected to offer AMD Ryzen 4000U processors, which now come with up to eight cores in the AMD Ryzen 7 4800U. Even the six-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U will deliver a massive upgrade from the current generation of HONOR MagicBooks.

Meanwhile, the MagicBook Pro might be the HONOR gaming laptop that was previously rumored. The HONOR MagicBook Pro is expected to arrive with an AMD Ryzen 4000H series processor, in line with its Pro ambitions.

HONOR has been teasing A+ Productivity in its banner for the launch of the new HONOR MagicBooks, so there’s still the possibility that the new MagicBook Pro will be one of the rare AMD Ryzen 4000H laptops to not come with an dedicated GPU for gaming, and instead just tap the immense CPU performance solely for productivity.

The Intel variant of the MagicBook Pro comes with a GeForce MX350 which is still about 20% faster than the integrated Radeon Graphics in the AMD Renoir APUs, but it is by no means necessary for the light gaming that you will be limited to when using a GeForce MX350 anyways.

Design wise I don’t really expect HONOR to really change things up considering that they recently launched a whole lineup of Intel-powered HONOR MagicBooks. But then again, I won’t turn down an even sexier looking laptop. Well, we will see what will HONOR bring to the table this 16th July.

Pokdepinion: If HONOR prices the AMD Ryzen 4000-powered HONOR MagicBooks at the same affordable prices as they are offering the current-gen laptops here… I can pretty much guarantee they will sell like hotcakes.
