HP Launches New OMEN Gaming Laptops — Challenger Series PUBG Tournament Also To Commence

HP has introduce today of their latest OMEN gaming laptop, the new OMEN 15 and OMEN 17 which packs power, design and performance on the go.

The latest addition to the OMEN gaming laptop family brings power, enhanced portability, while also offering improved hardware and features that most crave.

Offered in the new laptops is a GeForce GTX 1050 with Max-Q design, an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and 8GB DDR4 RAM. The laptop includes a flexible variety of storage options that includes SSD, HDD, SSD + HDD, or even HDD+ Intel Optane memory for that boost of speed.

Visual wise, the new laptops come in 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch respectively, with options including of 144Hz 1080p, 60Hz 1080p and G-SYNC on select configurations.  Their audio is powered by Bang & Olufsen along with a discrete audio amplifier. For those who enjoy wearing headphones instead, you can enjoy DTS Headphone:X for stimulated surround sound to pinpoint where each sound comes from.

In addition to that, there’s also the option of expansion. You can simply customize the storage and memory at the base of the laptop that comes in a accessible single panel.

The OMEN 15 retails from RM4,485 and is available at the HP Online Store as well as authorized HP resellers in the country. As for the OMEN 17, it is priced from RM8,699 and will be available from mid-September 2018.

From 3rd September to 3rd October 2018, those who purchase the OMEN by HP Series stand a chance to win a trip for two to catch the OMEN Challenger Series live in Bangkok. A total of 3 pairs of winners will be chosen.

OMEN Challenger Series

Besides the introduction of the OMEN 15 and OMEN 17, the company has also announced their OMEN Challenger Series, where PUBG gamers in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, India, CHina, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand can take part in an open amateur tournament  to win from a prize pool of USD50,000.

Registration is now open while the team qualifiers will kick off online from September 15 2018. Up to 80 amateur teams of four will participate in the country qualifiers, which will be livestreamed through local  streaming studios.

Pokdepinion: To be honest, it doesn’t look that bad of a gaming laptop but for me it’s a bit too bulky to my liking. Be sure to sign up for the PUBG tournament, who knows you might just win.
