Before leaving the White House, Trump has reportedly decided to try and further undermine HUAWEI by revoking all previously granted licenses to supply HUAWEI. HUAWEI suppliers like Intel has already been notified that their license has been revoked.

Aside from Intel, Kioxia is also reportedly affected, with at least one of their license revoked. This comes after Trump’s move against Xiaomi last week, adding the smartphone company to a list that bans US companies and citizens from investing in Xiaomi.

Insisting that HUAWEI poses a threat to national security, Trump also reportedly denied around 150 pending license applications, on top of revoking the ones that were approved previously. The pending license applications are allegedly worth a total of around $120 billion in goods and services.

The Biden administration is expected to take over in just two days, so it remains to be seen if HUAWEI will see some reprieve with the new POTUS.
