A bunch of interesting things have popped up over at CES 2018 in Las Vegas, and Lenovo has some things up their sleeves as well. One of the few interesting devices they’ve showed off is their upcoming Lenovo Miix 630 2-in-1 laptop. It’s aimed at bringing the best that mobile computing has to offer with the connective capabilities of a smartphone.

The Lenovo Miix 630 is a 2-in-1 detachable laptop with 12.3-inch WUXGA+ touchscreen display running Windows 10 S, and it shares a few similarities with the smartphones of today’s world. For one thing, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset but that’s not all. With integrated 4G LTE, you don’t have to worry about finding Wi-Fi access while you’re out in the world.

At just 15.6mm thin and 1.33kg in weight, the Lenovo Miix 630 is aimed to be a hassle-free, versatile machine that you can bring anywhere. Of course, such devices would be pointless if the battery life is as efficient as asking senior citizens working manual labour but not to worry there.

The device is said to have up to 20 hours of video playback, and with the Standby Mode on, you will still receive e-mails, messages, and other notification on-the-minute while still saving on battery. You can also use Standby Mode while in a Skype call.

Another thing that plays a role in the device’s battery life is the fan-less design, which packs more power with efficient heat processing into the all-too-familiar Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. Not only is it efficient, it should be operating with very little noise.

Pricing and availability in Malaysia / Southeast Asia has not been announced yet so stay tuned for that.  While the machine is running Microsoft Windows 10 S, users can opt for the Windows 10 Pro instead if they prefer.

If you’re curious about other machines unveiled at CES 2018, especially mobile machines, check this out.

Pokdepinion: Well, this might just be my next work laptop. Would definitely love to have 1 super powerful laptop and another that’s as convenient to bring around as a tablet. This new machine introduced at CES 2018 would easily fit the criteria for the latter.
