ASUS has just unveiled the new ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425), touting the tagline “world’s slimmest 13″ and 14″ laptops with full sized I/O ports”. Both the ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14 measure a mere 13.9mm thin, which is really quite impressive for a laptop with this many connectivity options.

The new ASUS ZenBooks come with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, one full-sized USB 3.0 port, one full HDMI port and a microSD card slot. It is indeed quite rare to find full-sized HDMI ports in laptops this thin, so kudos to ASUS for being able to cram it in here. But, you will be losing out on the headphone jack. It seems that ASUS has managed to summon enough courage to finally drop the headphone jack from the chassis of the laptop, and instead give you a USB-C dongle that supports Hi-res Audio output over 3.5mm.

On top of the physical I/O, the new ASUS ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14 will support WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. ASUS will be making use of this faster wireless connectivity options for Link to MyASUS as well, a feature that we first encountered in the ASUS ExpertBook B9.

On top of being shockingly thin, the ASUS ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14 are also incredibly light, starting from as low as 1.07 kg. ASUS managed to cram in a pretty huge 67 WHr battery into the sleek aluminium chassis, along with up to the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7 Ice Lake processors. With Tiger Lake just around the corner, we aren’t exactly sure if ASUS will be releasing a Tiger Lake refresh when they are made available.

With that said, the new ASUS ZenBook 13 (UX325) and ZenBook 14 (UX425) are expected to be launched by the end of the month, which is well before Tiger Lake’s expected debut. Here are the specifications of the new ASUS ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14:
