The new Razer Blade 15 is one of the most desirable gaming laptops in the market, but its pricing may have kept it out of the reach of most people. So now there is a more affordable base model. And for those who prefer a lighter shade than Razer’s signature anodized black finish, there’s also the Mercury White Limited Edition.

The new base model looks exactly like the higher-end Razer Blade 15, but it is actually thicker at 19.9mm. It now accommodates a Gigabit LAN port too. Also here are the minimal bezels around the 15.6″ 100% sRGB display, but you are limited to only 60 Hz panels here on the base model.

You still get the Intel Core i7 8750H 6C/12T processor and a GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q GPU inside. It comes with 16GB DDR4 RAM, and will be offered with two storage options. The more affordable one which costs $1599 (~RM6652), will give you a 128GB PCIe 3.0 SSD + 1TB HDD. Opt for the $1799 (~RM7484) variant and you get double the SSD and HDD storage.

Meanwhile, the Razer Blade 15 Mercury White Edition comes in a matte white finish and more minimalistic black USB ports and a non-illuminated Razer logo. Luckily, what made the Razer Blade 15 impressive like the individually-lit Razer Chroma-enabled keyboard and of course the heavy-hitting hardware are all there.

The only difference is that the Razer Blade Mercury White Edition will be available in limited quantities in US and Canada, and also selected retailers in China. It will be offered with either a GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q or a GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q, priced at $2199 (~RM9148) and $2599 (~RM10812), respectively.

Pokdepinion: The base model is pretty cool, but I would have been willing to settle for less storage in exchange for a 144 Hz display…

Exactly, where can you purchase this bloody Blade in Malaysia? The Mercury White is only available in the States. You are just converting the price from USD to MYR and doing a simple clickbait review without totally researching into this. The base unit already cost about RM7.5k in Singapore after conversion, so no way it will arrive to Malaysia priced at RM6.6k as per your review.

Hi, firstly, this is not a review. Secondly, the price is indeed converted from US pricing, which you can easily discover if you read the article. We target a Malaysian readership, which is why we convert the prices for the convenience of our readers :)

Same, I also want to get the Mercury Edition Advanced Model but I can’t find anywhere in Malaysia except Lazada that sells it. Lazada, Super Deal (shop), doesn’t have the Mercury Edition rn.
