They are both the world’s first 4K home theater DLP projector that features DCI-P3 color and to sweeten it even further, offers HDR-PRO support and individual factory color calibration. This also means that you are able to enjoy HDR10 as well as HLG formats.

Both models deliver true 4K performance with 3840×2160 resolution and 8.3 million distinct pixels for each frame. One thing that sets them apart is that the W5700 provides 100% coverage of the super wide DCI-P3 color space and 100% of Rec. 709 while the W2700 covers at a smaller 95%.

For those who love movies as well as home theater pro-sumers looking for a sophisticated and customized cinema experience, BenQ brings in their CinemaMaster Video+ technology that helps bring commercial quality digital cinema experiences into AV screening rooms and living rooms with motion-adaptive 4K pixel enhancement, color enhancement, and not to forget, a natural flesh tone rendition.

The W5700 is ideal for dedicated AV rooms, coming with a 1.6x big zoom and 2D H/V lens shift. As for the W2700, it is more suited for living rooms, where it comes with a 1.3x big zoom, vertical lens shift, as well as CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 for integrated audio.

If you’re interested in the projectors, the BenQ CinePrime W5700 retails at RM10,999 and the CinePrime W2700 is priced at RM7,399. Both of them will be on the market by end of July 2019.

Pokdepinion: Needless to say, I was quite impressed with the visuals that the projectors provided. If I had to pick one, I’d definitely go for the W2700 (budget wise and space).
