Android 9.0 Pie hits the OnePlus 6, officially — gets the latest Android version faster than Android One devices!

OnePlus 6 users rejoice! OnePlus has just started the roll out of the latest update to the OnePlus 6, in less than 2 months after the official announcement of Android 9.0 Pie. Surprisingly, it beat the Android One devices to the Android 9.0 Pie update.

The new OxygenOS 9.0 update brings a few new features, most of them which are baked into stock Android 9.0 Pie, such as:

• Updated system to Android™ 9.0 Pie™
  • Brand new UI for Android Pie
  • New adaptive battery support
  • New Android Pie gesture navigation
  • Updated Android security patch to 2018.9
  • Other new features and system improvements
• Do Not Disturb mode
  • New Do Not Disturb (DND) mode with adjustable settings
• New Gaming mode 3.0
  • Added text notification mode
  • Added notification for 3rd party calls
• Accent color
  • Supported accent color customization

Do not panic if you have yet to receive your Android 9.0 Pie update, as the OTA will roll out in stages. Some people will receive it later, some will have gotten it earlier. It’s just the way it is.
