It’s a little bit early but it appears that we have some rumours on next year’s iPhone, the top-of-the-line Apple iPhone 15 Ultra to be precise.

Apple iPhone 15 Ultra Rumours

Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max

As many of you may have heard by now, the Apple iPhone 15 series is expected to undergo a major change as they are expected to shift from Lightning to USB-C. This is especially the case since the latter is mandatory in the EU starting 2024, just months after its expected launch.

Then, we have the Apple iPhone 15 Ultra, which is expected to replace the Pro Max as the top-of-the-line model. This will allow the company to align it with existing brandings such as with the M1 Ultra chip and the recently unveiled Apple Watch Ultra.

Apart from that, the iPhone 15 Ultra is said to come with 8K video recording, though that may also be shared with the 15 Pro as well. What is likely to be exclusive to the Ultra however is the inclusion of a periscopic telephoto camera, likely either 5x or 6x zoom. Battery life will also be longer by roughly 3 to 4 hours.

Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max

If this is true, we do expect the iPhone 15 Ultra to see a price increase at launch over the 14 Pro Max, likely starting at USD $1,200 (RM5,460) but no guarantees on that yet.

As for the rest of the lineup, all of them are expected to come with the Dynamic Island design, but there will yet again be two different chips being used. The Apple A16 will likely be powering the non-Pro models while the Pro and the Ultra will be getting the newer Apple A17 chip. FaceID may also be positioned below the display, which will leave the camera as the only “notch” on the display.

It’s still far too early to tell, and some of these might require lengthy testing to prove its efficiency and usefulness. For now, we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I would prefer this over the Max Ultra naming scheme out of convenience. It’s much easier to say and spell it out while also signifying both strength and confidence.
