The ASUS ZenFone Max (M2) launched in Jakarta last year has finally made it to our shores. Featuring a design pretty similar to the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1), the ZenFone Max (M2) comes with an AI-enhanced camera, a large 6.3″ display and better audio, at a very affordable price.

It packs a 14nm Snapdragon 632 mated to 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. A 4000 mAh battery allows the ASUS ZenFone Max (M2) to live up to its Max moniker, with up to 33 days of 4G standby. You do get a large 6.3″ display, but it is somewhat let down by the HD+ resolution. It does however offer an impressive 88% screen-to-body ratio for maximum enjoyment when watching videos or gaming on the ASUS ZenFone Max (M2).

For those who want to partake in some photography with the ASUS ZenFone Max (M2), there is a 13MP f/1.8 rear camera mated to a secondary 2MP depth sensor. Selfie lovers get an 8MP f/2.0 front facing camera with a softlight LED to illuminate your face in dim conditions.

The ASUS ZenFone Max (M2) will be priced at just RM699, and as a special introductory offer, it will be sold at a discounted price of just RM599 on 15th January on Lazada. It is the most affordable smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 632 so far, and it does seem pretty interesting especially with the promotion.

What do you think? Would you pick the ASUS ZenFone Max (M2) over the Max Pro (M2)?

Pokdepinion: The ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) seems like a better deal with a better chipset and larger battery.
