honor Malaysia has just launched the honor 8 here today, sharing with members of the media, fans and dealers the awesomeness that is the honor 8. The honor 8 is truly a thing of beauty with the performance to boot. Following its global launch in Paris less than a month ago, Malaysians will be one of the first few in the world to be able to experience the honor 8 in all its splendor.

honor Malaysia aims to satisfy the demands of young digital natives who need devices that are both impressive outside and inside. With the honor 8, honor fans do not have to choose between great looks and performance. And all that without having to sell a kidney (or two) to afford one.

One of the highlights of the honor 8 is the dual-camera system on its back. With its dual monochrome+color Sony IMX298 sensors, the honor 8 captures the beauty of life in any condition. Users can also redefine the focal point after the image is taken. However while it seems to share much of its specifications with the Huawei P9, it does not feature the Leica branding.

The rest of the specifications are no less impressive. A Kirin 950 SoC is mated to 4GB of DDR4 RAM, with a 2.5D curved glass over a 5.2″ FHD display on the front and a 15-layer “aurora” glass back, the honor 8 promises performance that matches its premium appearance.

The honor 8 will be available on the 8th of September from honor Malaysia’s partners Vmall Malaysia, Lazada Malaysia, DirectD and SenHeng Malaysia, priced at RM1699 for the variant with 32GB and RM1899 for the 64GB version. If you are among the first 100 buyers from each of the channels, you will also be able to get exclusive freebies worth up to RM500!

Better be quick if you want to get these great freebies!

One more thing. If you have a tighter budget, honor Malaysia also launched the honor 5A which comes with a more affordable price tag. The honor 5A packs the octa-core 64-bit Kirin 620 chipset, mated to 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage with support for microSD cards up to 128GB. It runs on Android 5.1 out of the box, with a 5.5″ HD (720p) display and is powered by a 3100 mAh battery. In terms of camera, the honor 5A packs a 13 MP camera on the rear, with an 8 MP one on the front.

The honor 5A comes in Black and White, priced at RM599, while the Gold variant is priced at RM629. The honor 5A will be available starting 20th August.
