We were present today at HMD Global’s (Malaysia) launching event, where they’ve unveiled four new smartphones across segments that includes the new Nokia 6.2, Nokia 7.2 as well as their features phones, Nokia 2720 Flip and Nokia 110.
We start off with the Nokia 6.2, where it features a triple camera setup at the back and a PureDisplay. Powering it up is a Snapdragon 636 chipset and a 3500mAh battery under the hood. It comes with 4GB RAM that’s paired with 64GB of internal storage.
The camera configuration of the Nokia 6.2 features a 16MP wide lens, 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. As for selfies, there’s a 8MP shooter located at the front. Running on Android 9 Pie right off the bat, the smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch display. HDR10 support is also available.
If you are interested in the Nokia 6.2, it will be available from early October at the price of RM899, where you can find it at Nokia Malaysia’s flagship store on Lazada.
The top end out of the four would be the Nokia 7.2, where it comes with a 48MP triple camera with Quad Pixel technology and ZEISS Optics. Nokia 7.2 comes with unique ZEISS bokeh styles, which you can find in the portrait mode that they claim can give stunning shots and exceptional image quality.
In terms of specifications, the Nokia 7.2 runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and in Malaysia, we will be getting the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage variant. Similar to the Nokia 6.2, the Nokia 7.2 runs on Android 9 Pie and it also comes with a 6.3-inch display.
Besides the 48MP main camera, accompanying it is a a 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 5MP depth sensor to complete the triple camera setup at the back. On the front however, it offers a 20MP shooter. A 3500mAh battery is also packed inside.
The Nokia 7.2 is available starting from today at the price of RM1,299 and comes in Charcoal, Cyan Green, Ice color variants (Ice will be release later). Every purchase of the Nokia 7.2 will get you a free backpack as well as 16GB SD card, while stocks lasts. The difference with the Nokia 7.2 is that it is not only limited to their online store, you can also find the phone at authorized Nokia stores.
Here we have the first feature phone from the company, the Nokia 110. It’s perfect who wants a simple phone to use. The Nokia 110 builds on their previous Nokia 105 device, by adding a camera, music, and games to deliver more entertainment value. Yes, it does come with the classic Snake and they’ve claimed that the battery can last you from sunrise to sunset on a single charge.
Fancy the Nokia 110? It will be made available in early October priced at RM120. It comes in Ocean Blue, Black, and Pink.
Nokia 2720 Flip (4G)
Back in the days, flip phones was the thing to have. Nokia is bringing back the good ol’ days with the Nokia 2720 Flip where it combines simplicity and reliability. It comes with built-in WhatsApp and Facebook to make sure that you stay connected.
Google Assistant is also available and just a button-push away, where you can do more with your voice. The phone looks ideal if you’re looking for a digital detox but also is there just in case you need to connect with your friends and family.
You can already get the Nokia 2720 Flip for the price of RM359. There was two colors shown at the launch, White and Black. Sadly we will be only getting the Black variant in stores.
Pokdepinion: I’m not going to lie. That Nokia 2720 Flip is very tempting.. I’m kind of interested into seeing how the Nokia 7.2 would perform in terms of the cameras. It is ZEISS after all.
