HONOR To Release 5G Smartphone This Year

It seems that HONOR are ready to unveil a 5G smartphone this year. The news was revealed in an interview with the company’s president, George Zhao.

Zhao has claimed that the 5G device will arrive in the “second half of the year”, though the exact date depends on operators’ infrastructure and progress.

Previously, Zhao had claimed they will be the first company to come out with a 5G smartphone, but since then, a number of companies such as Samsung, OnePlus, and LG has also revealed of their intentions of producing such device.

Just recently, Zhao had questioned the purpose of foldable smartphones, which seems to be the focus of a lot of smartphone brands lately. Aside from that, the company has also released their latest flagship, the HONOR View20.

Pokdepinion: I still don’t think that Malaysia is ready for 5G just yet. I would rather we have a more stable connectivity here for the moment. It can just go missing at any time.
