Previously we had a glimpse of honor’s View 10 during their honor 7X launching, now the device will be officially coming to our shores this January.

honor View 10 Pre-order

honor is officially bringing in their honor View10 smartphone which packs quite a few flagship features with a mid-range price tag. To further sweeten the deal, for the first 1000 pre-orders starting this 8th January, honor is throwing in RM699 worth of gifts which include a honor band A2 and a Final Fantasy redemption card.

The honor View10’s main selling point must be its high-end Kirin 970. Shared with the latest HUAWEI Mate 10 devices, it offers a decent punch with its octa-core CPU and 12-core Mali-G72 GPU. Mated to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the honor View10 is designed for the power users among us. AI is also a mainstay of this device thanks to the dedicated NPU to accelerate AI-related tasks.

Worth noting is that while the Mate 10 was HUAWEI’s first foray into AI, honor has a longer history dabbling with AI. Ever since the honor Magic honor was already messing around with AI to improve the user experience of their devices. The honor View10 takes it a step further, integrating AI into daily applications like real-time translation and camera scene recognition.

Speaking of the camera, you will be looking at the world through the 20MP monochrome + 16MP RGB sensors behind f/1.8 apertures. There is no Leica logo here though, unlike the top dogs from HUAWEI. The honor View10 can automatically recognize 13 different scenes and objects to give you the best shot with minimal effort.

Keeping the lights on is a 3750 mAh battery with honor SuperCharge technology. The honor View10 will be available in Black and Blue, for just RM2099. Availability starts this 12th January.

Pokdepinion: The honor View10 pretty much renders the HUAWEI Mate 10 Pro obsolete. Unless you desperately need IP67 water proofing, or just have an extra RM1000 to spend. Heck, it even comes with a 3.5mm jack that the Mate 10 Pro lacks.
