HONOR X9a Officially Coming to Malaysia

The HONOR X9a 5G has officially been launched, and it’s confirmed to be coming to Malaysia. Here’s everything that you need to know about it.

After numerous teasers online, the HONOR X9a 5G has been officially unveiled to the masses. It comes with a curved Full HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 800 nits brightness, 1920Hz PWM dimming, 100% DCI-P3 and an under-display fingerprint scanner. Most notably, it’s said to be one of the toughest OLED displays around, with the durability supposedly matching Kunlun Glass, just like the one used on the HUAWEI Mate50 Pro.

HONOR is so confident with its durability that they are including a free screen replacement if the screen gets damaged within 180 days of purchase. Apart from that, it’s powered by the Snapdragon 695 with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, complete with 5G support. You can get the RAM boosted up to 13GB via the HONOR RAM Turbo feature which turns some of the internal storage into virtual RAM.

As for the camera, you get a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP f/1.8 wide angle camera, 5MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. In the front, you get a 16MP f/2.45 wide angle camera in a punchhole cutout.

It’s powered by the Magic UI 6.1 based on Android 12, and it supports dual-band Wi-Fi 5 along with Bluetooth 5.1. All of these are juiced up by a healthy 5,100mAh battery, and it comes with a 40W HONOR SuperCharge charger in the box.

The HONOR X9a 5G will be available starting 6th January 2023 and will be retailing for RM1,499. It will be available in Titanium Silver, Emerald Green, and Midnight Black. You can purchase it on the official HONOR Malaysia online store and physical stores nationwide. If you’re fast enough, you can get a pair of HONOR CHOICE Earbuds X3 for free as well.
