[Update 1] HTC U12+ Leaked – No Notches To Be Seen Anywhere!
Reportedly to be launched next week, now it appears that there has been some leaks towards the design of the new HTC U12+. Here are some of the details of the new device.
With the HTC U12+, it marks the company’s comeback into the flagship smartphone market. The device will be running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 as well as packing 6GB of RAM (expandable up to 2TB through microSD). For the camera department, both front and rear sides of the phone will sport dual cameras.
Measuring at 6-inch with a 18:9 ratio display, the HTC U12+ seems to break away from the trend of putting a notch on the device (which we are grateful). Sticking to the display, the device will feature a button free front facade and use what HTC calls a ‘liquid surface‘.
It may be bad news for headphone or earphone users though as the phone won’t be be coming with a 3.5mm jack for your audio devices. Well, you can cope through it by getting Bluetooth headphones instead.
The phone will come with Android 8.0 out of the box and will be powered by a 3500mAh non removable battery found under the hood.
While release date isn’t confirmed just yet, we expect it to come out very soon. Until it does, stay tuned for more information on the device.
[Update 1] HTC U12+ Coming To Malaysia End Of June (25th May 2018)
HTC has confirmed that the U12+ will be coming to our shores here in Malaysia. The phone features Edge Sense 2, a new touch feedback experience that allows users to navigate the device, hold to lock the screen orientation or squeeze the sides for taking photos and zooming in on maps.
In addition to that, it will feature HTC BoomSound, USonic and Qualcomm aptX HD audio, which delivers sounds louder than ever. The phone will be available in Translucent Blue and will be available from end of June onwards in Malaysia.
Pokdepinion: I’m most interested on what price what the company will be putting in for the U12+. I have got to say, that red looks sleek and for a current (well, not current but upcoming) smartphone to feature a notch-less display is a big win for me! Here’s to hope that the phone does make it down right here in Malaysia. What do you think? Let us know in the comments as usual folks!
