Today HUAWEI announce that they are planning on releasing the HUAWEI Y7 Prime, which is set to come out on the 7th of July 2017. Here are some of the details that we’ve gathered.

HUAWEI Y7 Prime

The Y7 Prime is retailing at RM 999 and is fitting for people who are looking for simplicity and functionality in one big package.

The premium range of HUAWEI smartphones have been performing tremendously in Malaysia and we are very encouraged by the strong support received here. As a sign of our commitment to the Malaysian mobile devices market, HUAWEI aims to expand our mid-range consumer smartphones segment, further allowing relationship growth with even more audience segments. Matthew Ng, Deputy Country Director Business Group, HUAWEI Technologies Malaysia

As you can see, the phone packs quite a combo all together considering that it is a mid-range consumer smartphone. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Processor with 3GB of RAM. It comes with a 32GB internal storage with the option to expand up to 128GB. Build wise, it has a full-metal build with a sandblasted finish. The Y7 is packed with a 4000mAh battery which is quite big. It should last a full day of activities for all those picture taking, videos, and social media feeds.

In the camera’s department, it sports a 12MP rear camera with 1.25μm pixels and a 8MP sensor front camera with f/2.0 aperture, suitable for selfie taking. For display, it has a 2.5D 5.5-inch HD display and supports a dual SIM slot. The Y7 Prime runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 customization. It comes in two colour options; gold and black.

Pokdepinion: I am kind of intrigued and interested with the Y7. Quite a reasonable price considering it looks like an all-rounder phone. Would certainly have a look into it.
