Huawei Mate 20 Series Officially Arrives In Malaysia – Massive crowds gathered for device’s first day sales
Quite the turn out, Mate!
Today marks the official sales launch for the much anticipated Huawei Mate 20 Series. In a roadshow held at Pavilion in Kuala Lumpur, fans waited eagerly to get their hands on the Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro which went on sale at 10 AM today. An estimated 10,000 fans turned up for the launch with some of the fans even telling us that they have been waiting in line since 1 o’clock the night before! Now that’s what I call dedication!
On display during the roadshow are the aforementioned Huawei Mate 20 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The Huawei Mate 20 X, Huawei’s very own gaming device was also on display during the roadshow. However, the Mate 20 X was only there for display and was not for sale. Also on display during the roadshow are Huawei’s brand new laptops, the Huawei MateBook X Pro with the ingenious pop-up webcam as well as the Huawei MateBook D.
To celebrate the auspicious day and as a reward for their dedicated fans, Huawei offered free gifts which include a FREE DJI Tello drone worth RM 469 for the first 1,000 customers who purchased the Huawei Mate 20 Series. Other gifts include a SoundStone Speaker and a wireless charger for those who bought the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro respectively. Those who purchased the MateBook Series however got freebies worth up to RM 1,000! These include a Huawei bag, a leather sleeve, A Bluetooth mouse as well as a one-year Microsoft Office 365 subscription.

The Huawei Mate 20 X will arrive some time during mid-November and will retail for RM 3,199. The specs are the same as the Mate 20 Pro but with a larger 7.2 inch FHD+ OLED screen as well as a massive 5,000 mAh battery. For a more in depth look at the Mate 20 Series do head over here.

Pokdepinion: I was legitimately blown away at how many people came to the roadshow to purchase the devices. The fact that some of them even came at the wee hours to wait in line is all the more impressive.
