HUAWEI has just announced that their new addition to the youth-focused HUAWEI nova series, the HUAWEI nova 8 will be arriving at our shores this 27 August. With a 90hz Refresh Rate Curved OLED Display, an all-rounder AI Quad Camera with Iconic Nebular Camera System Design, and a 7.64mm Ultra Slim Body Design with 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology, this smartphone is a must-have.

The HUAWEI nova 8 offers a 6.57-inch curved OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display also has a pixel density of 391 PPI and 10-bit colour depth that delivers 1.07 billion colours.

Furthermore, the new nova 8 also features a camera design that HUAWEI calls an Iconic Nebular Camera System Design. It has an oval design at the rear of the smartphone that houses all of the cameras and the flashlight, giving it a unique appearance. In terms of the phone’s cameras, it features a rear quad-camera system that includes a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP Ultra-Wide-Angle Camera, a 2MP Macro Camera and a 2MP Depth Camera.

As for selfies, the HUAWEI nova 8 comes with a Super Selfie 32MP AI Front Camera that comes with the Super Night Mode Camera feature. HUAWEI says that this feature allows users to take selfies without the presence of natural light. The Dual-View Video feature further improves the user’s video-taking experience, making it ideal for vloggers.

The HUAWEI nova 8 is also thinner and lighter than before and measures 7.64mm and weighs just 169g. It also supports 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge technology that can charge the phone up to 60% with just 15 minutes of charging. The phone can also be fully charged in just 35 minutes, perfect for those who are constantly in a rush.

Moreover, the HUAWEI nova 8 features support for HUAWEI Mobile Service. HUAWEI AppGallery allows users to access all of their apps. Users can also use Petal Search and Petal Maps to search the internet and navigate. HUAWEI Music, HUAWEI Videos, HUAWEI Books, and HUAWEI Themes are available for entertainment and customisation. HUAWEI customers may also track their health with the HUAWEI Health App, which allows you to track your activity in over 100 sports.

Pokdepinion: Interesting to see how the nova 8 will fare and how much it will be priced when it arrives here. The HUAWEI nova 8i was a pretty decent smartphone so will the nova 8 be better?
