HUAWEI resellers in the Philippines allay worries about Google apps with refund policy

A lot of people are worried about Google support on HUAWEI’s devices with the imminent US trade ban. Most of them are concerned about whether whether they can still use the Play Store once the ban sets in. To put at rest these concerns, a group of 30 HUAWEI retailers and dealers in the Philippines are offering a refund if the HUAWEI smartphones sold by them can’t run Google or Facebook-owned apps in the future.

The promotion is apparently valid from 15th June until 31st August 2019, promising that any phones bought within this period will be guaranteed for at least two years of Google apps, or they will refund your money. The devices eligible for this promotion are:

HUAWEI has reportedly told Revu that this is an initiative by the retailers, rather than one backed by HUAWEI themselves. It does definitely give HUAWEI fans a boost of confidence though. HUAWEI Germany has stepped up to respond to the rumors about the future of HUAWEI smartphones and PCs, but this move by Filipino resellers is really about putting their money where their mouth is.

Pokdepinion: I wonder if Malaysian distributors will back HUAWEI like this.
