While HUAWEI was banned from conducting business with US-based companies after being accused by the US government of espionage, it appears that US President Donald Trump is ready to talk things over with China. And while he still labels HUAWEI as “something that is very dangerous”, he did mention that HUAWEI could be a part of an upcoming trade deal between the US and China.

“You look at what they’ve done from a security standpoint, a military standpoint. Very dangerous.”

President Trump did not back down from his stance that HUAWEI is a threat to the US’ national security, but it seems like he is open to allowing the threat to continue, presumably if the US-China trade agreements are in his favor. Sounds pretty contradictory, don’t you think?
