Another smartphone brand makes a mark in Malaysia. Introducing Infinix Mobile.

When it comes to smartphones, we have plenty of options to choose from. Whether you want something fancy, something affordable, or something with a balance of power without breaking your bank, there’s always something for you.

Now, you can add another new choice to the list. A new smartphone brand has made its mark in Malaysia. That brand is known as Infinix Mobile.

Infinix Mobile Launch

A new brand is making its mark in the Malaysian smartphone market. It's known as Infinix Mobile, and they have launched 3 of their offerings today!

Infinix Mobile is not what you’d call a new company in the global smartphone market. It finally decided to enter the Malaysian market, which is why we finally got to know about them today.

Marco Beh, Country Manager (Malaysia), Infinix Mobile, said:

Southeast Asia has an extremely vibrant and exciting mobile phone market that has infinite possibilities and numerous growth opportunities. Infinix is confident that our latest mobile devices will impress Malaysians looking at quality, stylish designed phones with cutting-edge specifications that cater to their varied digital technology lifestyle wants and needs.

Together with the brand’s launch in Malaysia, Infinix Mobile launched 3 of their smartphone offerings; Infinix Zero 4, Zero 4 Plus, and HOT 4 Pro.

Infinix Zero 4 and Zero 4 Plus

Infinix Mobile

The Zero 4 series is said to be the best of their offerings. Powered by Mediatek, it has optical image stabilization (OIS) with an f/2.0 aperture camera, and a 6-piece complex camera lens which is said to prevent shaky images and low light blurring. The Zero 4 Plus’s main camera has a 20.7 megapixel sensor while the main camera for the Zero 4 has a 16 megapixel sensor.

The Infinix Zero 4 Plus sports a 5.98-inch Full HD display while the Zero 4 has a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display. The screen for both devices are scratch resistant thanks to the curved 2.5D tempered 3rd generation Corning Gorilla Glass. Another difference between the 2 devices is the battery capacity, with the Zero 4 having 3,200mAH while the Zero 4 Plus has 4,000mAH battery capacity.

The aim of these 2 devices is to provide consumers with a solid camera offering in a smartphone that will enable people to be constantly on-the-go. It’s said to have be able to capture very detailed shots with incredible speed and accuracy. However, we can’t vouch for this until we’ve given it a try ourselves. Would have had a clearer idea of what it’s like if they had a proper demo unit for this thing, but oh well.

Infinix Mobile

The Infinix Zero 4 which is powered by the Mediatek MT6753 octa-core, is available in Lilac Grey, and will be retailing for RM999. The Zero 4 Plus on the other hand is powered by the Mediatek Helio X20 deca-core, and the price has not been revealed yet. It’s expected to be announced some time in April.

Infinix HOT 4 Pro

Infinix Mobile

Powered by Android Marshmallow and Infinix Mobile’s custom user interface ‘XOS’, the Infinix HOT 4 Pro sports a 5.5-inch HD display and dual stereo speaker. The battery life is said to last up to 48 hours with moderate use. We at Pokde would definitely like to test this claim.

The phone’s killer feature lies in the 3D Stereo Surround via Dirac Stereo Widening. It allows users to immerse themselves in an exceptional multimedia experience through its dual stereo speakers.

Another key feature of the HOT 4 Pro is its secure ID access via the phone’s smart fingerprint feature. It is said to eliminated the use of passwords and allows for complete privacy for users as they can choose to freeze or hide certain apps for any purpose whatsoever.

Infinix Mobile

The Infinix HOT 4 Pro has a 13 megapixel main camera with 5 internal lens elements, which is said to improve imaging quality. The front camera has a 5 megapixel sensor and paired with a soft light to give users a good selfie even in poor lighting conditions.

The Infinix HOT 4 Pro, which is powered by the Mediatek MT6737,  is available in Lilac Grey, Champagne Gold, and Galaxy Blue, and retails for RM599.

Infinix Mobile Aftersales

Infinix Mobile

Aside from launching new phones in the Malaysian market, Infinix Mobile added on that their aftersales service will be one of the best in the country. All 3 devices seen above will have a 1 year warranty upon purchase date, with a 1-on-1 replacement for any customers that face hardware malfunction within 15 days of purchase date.

But wait, there’s more. Infinix Mobile is also adding a 6-months screen warranty that is redeemable only once so if your screen cracks within those 6 months, feel free to go get it changed.

Pokdepinion: Another affordable smartphone offering in Malaysia. I’m personally not a fan of the Mediatek chipsets but I have to admit that it has improved. Mediatek-powered devices are usually cheaper anyway, and if it can perform up to par, why not right? Gotta wait until we get to put the phone through our series of tests before we can say whether the phones are worth it or not. Infinix Mobile, bring it on!
