Mi MIX 3 to be launched in Beijing next week — the return of the slider?

Is it the Mi LEX, or the Mi MIX 3? Well, for starters, the Mi MIX 3 is going to be launched very soon. Whether the Mi LEX exists, is another matter altogether. And the device is launching very soon, on 25th October, to be exact.

The launch teaser reveals the launch date as well as a glimpse of its design. The Mi MIX 3 appears to be confirmed with a slide up camera assembly which should house the front facing camera and sensors. Hopefully the rear cameras aren’t on the same mechanism though. The mechanism is also expected to not be motorized, which should mean it will be more reliable.

The tagline the image says “part technology, part art”, which has always been the ethos of the Mi MIX lineup. Let’s see what they will bring to the table this time. Once again, Xiaomi appears to be preparing a barrage of devices in time for Christmas, with a Black Shark 2 apparently in the works, and this.

The Mi MIX 3 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 845, a large display which will not feature bezels and hopefully a ceramic back like its predecessors. What do you think?
