The Xiaomi Mi Note 10 was quite an interesting smartphone, although one of my main complaints was that the Snapdragon 730G chipset wasn’t capable of keeping up with the 108MP camera sensor. The Mi Note 10 Lite address that by using a 64MP camera instead, while also slashing the price rather substantially.

It’s worth noting that anyone looking for a flagship-class camera experience should still look at the Mi Note 10, as the Mi Note 10 Lite is clearly a mid-range offering from Xiaomi. It shares the beautiful 6.47″ 3D curved AMOLED display from the Mi Note 10, massive 5260 mAh battery as well as the Snapdragon 730G chipset, but the penta-camera of the Mi Note 10 didn’t make the cut.

In place of the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX camera, you get a 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. It might arguably offer better performance, but we will have to test it to find out for ourselves. Gone is the penta-camera setup, with a quad-camera one instead. You get an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, a 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera. A curious arrangement indeed.
