Owners of the Moto Z can expect the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update pretty soon, while Moto Z Play users will get a taste of the latest flavor later this month. With the Android 7.0 Nougat update, Moto Z family users will be able to make their devices better with a few new features that will be made available through the update.

Among the slew of improvements to the user experience of the Moto Z devices are multi-window mode, bundled notification and direct reply, for an enhanced multitasking experience. Custom Quick Settings with Nougat lets you rearrange the quick settings however you like, for faster access whenever you need it.

With Nougat also comes the Enhanced Doze Mode. While previously Doze Mode was only activated when the device is stationary, the new enhanced Doze will work even when the device is in motion, extending your battery life even when you are on the go. Battery life isn’t going to be the only thing that you will get more of with this update though, as data saver will cut down on unnecessary data used up by background apps. This means more surfing and streaming for you.

Last but not least, Nougat brings Daydream compatibility to the Moto Z. Daydream, Google’s VR platform, allows users to immerse themselves into all the experiences you love and aspire to do. With the Moto Z’s high performance processor, sharp 1440p display and precise sensors, it is the perfect device for VR.

Pokdepinion: It is good to see updates rolling out quickly, as this shows a dedication towards enhancing the user experience, instead of simply pumping out device after device.
