New OnePlus 7 To Come With A Slider Mechanism?
Previously OnePlus had released their special OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, it is right to assume that the company will be turning their attention now to their next device, the OnePlus 7. Though there hasn’t been much details regarding the phone, except that it will be packing Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 855 chipset, it seems that we could see the device to come with a slider mechanism.
Thanks to a leak by Slash Leaks, which are known to get most leaked images correct before they come out, this is how the new OnePlus 7 could possibly look. As you can see, the front display features no notch at all as well as offering really slim bezels at the front.
It seems that there’s a space on top of the phone’s casing, which could mean for a potential slide-out camera on the front.
If the leak indeed is precise, it is not surprising that OnePlus has decided to go to this route. It is the perfect way for a phone not to come with a notch at all. Even if it is a waterdrop/dewdrop display, it is still considered as a notch. For motorized cameras (such as the Find X and vivo NEX), you would always find it to be more susceptible to problems due to the mechanized system.
At the end of last year, Xiaomi had released their latest smartphone in the form of the Mi Mix 3, which represents as the most recent smartphone to come with a slider mechanism.
Pokdepinion: I’m all for it if it does turn out to be real. To be honest, I’d rather have a slider than a notch, a punch hole, or even a dew/waterdrop display.
