In what seems to be a callback to their early innovative days, the Nokia 5710 XpressAudio brings a unique feature that you don’t find in other phones, and it’s coming to Malaysia.

The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is a unique phone that includes a pair of built-in wireless earbuds that can be revealed by sliding down a compartment at the back of the phone. These earbuds connect via Bluetooth and can be used with other devices.

Despite not being able to support music streaming apps, the 5710 XpressAudio can still act as an MP3 player and includes FM radio support. It is powered by a Unisoc T107 SoC and features 4G connectivity. In addition to the earbuds, the phone also has two built-in speakers for listening without the earbuds, although the earbuds themselves may not be comfortable for everyone due to their non-interchangeable tips.

The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is a music-oriented phone with dedicated physical buttons for media control on either side of its 2.4-inch QVGA display, reminiscent of the Nokia XpressMusic line of phones. It also has a 0.3MP camera with a flash on its back, a micro USB charging port, and a 1,450mAh battery that can last between 20 to 31 days, depending on your usage and connectivity.

The device supports the use of a microSD card with capacities up to 32GB, but it should be noted that you will need to purchase one separately. The wireless earbuds included with the phone have not had their battery life or impact on the phone’s battery life disclosed by HMD Global.

The Nokia 5710 XpressAudio is available for purchase on the official Nokia Shopee store for RM339 and comes with a charger and removable battery in the box, although only the black colour option seems to be available.

Pokdepinion: I’m actually hoping this eventually ends up being a feature in a future Android smartphone. The innovative design is just nice to make them stand out again, and it will be a good callback to how they were during the Symbian era.
