OPPO Malaysia today officially launched its new flagship smartphone the OPPO R9s features a Sony IMX398 16MP rear camera sensor, with a large f/1.7 aperture and dual PDAF. In additional 16MP sensor also uses for the front selfie shooter. The new smartphone is said to be focused on rear camera with better performance in low-light conditions and HDR capabilities.

The OPPO R9s is a 5.5-inch smartphone with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and full HD, AMOLED display with thickness at 6.58mm. The OPPO R9s is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The smartphone is comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. the OPPO R9s also comes with the hybrid dual-sim slot.

In term of productivity it sports a 3010 mAh battery backed with OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge. With the all new ColorOS 3.0, based on Android 6.0 it also features cutting-edge power-saving optimizations and providing a smooth, steady and lightweight experience. OPPO claims the the OPPO R9s can give up to two hours talking time with just five minutes VOOC Flash Charge.

The fingerprint sensor is located below the display, inside the home button with a hydrophobic membrane that uses the same principle as naturally water-resistant lotus leaf, to enhanced success rate even when a user’s finger is moist. The phone also mentioned it comes with three thin antenna line at the top and bottom at just 0.3mm width, for the best signal on both 4G and Wi-Fi connection.

The Oppo R9s Plus measures at 153.63×74.3×6.58mm and weighs 147 grams.It will be available in Gold and Rose Gold color, priced at RM 1798. Also in the launch event, OPPO Malaysia has unveiled the OPPO R9S product ambassador, Lee Min-ho and the latest addition to the OPPO R9S celebrity team, such as Min Chen, Fattah Amin and Ayda Jebat.
