Poco fans are sure to be delighted in hearing that there are news on the brand new device under Xiaomi’s sub brand, the Poco F2. The phone was leaked and spotted on Geekbench just recently where it comes with the latest Qualcomm flagship chipset, Snapdragon 855.

If you take a close look to the benchmark, you’d might notice something’s a bit strange weird. Look deeper and you’ll notice that the phone packs only 4GB of RAM. Why do we say that it is weird? Well the original Poco that came out last year came with a bigger 6GB RAM, which is the base RAM size that’s available. It’s hard to think that Xiaomi decided on packing something smaller in their newer device.

It seems that the phone was running the first developer preview of Android Q during testing. If the phone follows its predecessor’s launch date in August, it’ll be a surprise if the phone comes with Android Q straight out of the box. As of now, the new Android Q is still in beta tests, available only for Pixel smartphones.

Rumors has been going on that the Poco F2 will come in a new and fresh design as well as camera improvements. Despite the camera upgrade, we shouldn’t expect much from it as the original Poco was never meant to be viewed as a great mobile photography device.

It certainly attracts a lot of questions but as it is, take this information with a pinch of salt. We’ll sure to update more once more details gets available to us. Until then, watch this space for more updates on the Poco F2.

Pokdepinion: Upgrade it to 6GB and it’s already an acceptable phone for me. Let’s just hope they get the price right too when it launches and hopefully it’ll be released sooner rather than later.
