The folks at realme Malaysia has recently revealed that the new realme 9 Pro 5G Series will be arriving in the country soon, specifically on the 2nd of March 2022.

The first that will arrive is the realme 9 Pro+ 5G on the mentioned date where it is the first smartphone to launch with the Sony IMX766 OIS camera within the mid-range tier.

Adding to that, it seems that the phone is set to come with their first photochromic design, the Light Shift Design, which allows the back of the device to change colours captured during sunrise. They’ve said that the Sunrise Blue model, the phone’s back cover will change from blue to red when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light and changes back to blue again within 2 to 5 minutes when not exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet lighting conditions.

Coming back to the camera, the IMX766 comes with a large 1/1.56″ sensor that can capture up to 63.8% more light than its predecessor and thanks to the OIS lens, it can capture brighter and more detailed shots, at least according to them.

Aside from that, the realme 9 Pro+ 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G 6nm processor and they’ve revealed that the price will be made “within the RM1,000 price-tier category”. We should learn more in a couple days time as we head nearer to the official launch date. Till then, stay tuned to Pokde.net for more on the latest tech and gaming news plus reviews.

Pokdepinion; Now I’m just curious on the pricing of the device. While the cameras does sound impressive for its price category, we’ll have to give it a go for ourselves to find out if it’s worth it or not.
