Samsung today has officially launch their new Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and the A8+ (2018) at their launch event in Kuala Lumpur.

The new Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) features a dual front camera and they are rated at IP68, allows you to enjoy various types of adventures, from casual park strolls, to pool parties, without having the need to worry about water and dust damaging the smartphone.

With the device’s 16MP+8MP F1.9 dual front camera, which is made up of two separate cameras, you can choose to switch between the two to take the type of selfie of your preference. This ranges from close-ups to portrait shots with a clear background (bokeh effect).

Taking features from their other flagship devices, the A8  and A8+ also will have Live Focus feature, which allows users to adjust the background blur (bokeh effect) before or even after you take the picture to create better quality images.

With its F1.9 and F1.7 aperture, it can help you capture sharper images, even if you’re in low-light conditions. To satisfy creators, Samsung’s new device allows you to customize your photos with several options, from adding stickers to your selfie or highlighting a culinary with Food Mode.

Taking videos comes with a breeze with the devices coming with stabilization. As expected, these device will also feature Always On Display, a feature that has been implemented in Samsung’s other flagship device, allowing users to glance through notifications without ever unlocking the device.

So if you’re wondering what the difference between the two models are, the Galaxy A8 (2018) features 4GB RAM with an internal memory of 32GB and has a 3,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) has 6GB RAM paired with 64GB of internal memory and a 3,500mAh battery. Worth noting that the A8’s display is smaller than the A8+’s being at 5.6-inch, while the latter has a bigger 6.0-inch display.

Both Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+ is now available in Malaysia at a recommended price of RM1,799 (A8) and RM2,499 (A8+). They are available in Black, Gold, and Orchid Gray color variants.
