Samsung has today announced of the release of their Samsung Galaxy J8 and also the Galaxy J6 smartphones, the latest from their entry-level J-series.

The new additions to the Galaxy J series provides users with their famed Super AMOLED display, and gives 15% more display area without jeopardizing their overall size.

Samsung Galaxy J8

First up is the Galaxy J8. It comes with a 6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display. It features a dual rear camera setup of 16MP+5MP.  As for the front shooter, it offers a 16MP camera. Users can take advantage of Samsung’s ‘Live Focus’ feature, where they can easily adjust the bokeh effect before and even after a shot is taken.

Running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset, it has 3GB of RAM which is paired with 32GB of internal memory (expandable up to 256GB).

Under the hood, it packs a 3500mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Samsung Galaxy J6

While on the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J6 features a smaller 5.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display. Camera wise, it offers a 8MP shooter on the front and a single 13MP camera on the back. Also coming with a 3GB/32GB memory combo, it offers a smaller 3000mAh battery compared to the Galaxy J8.

With the Galaxy J6, you’ll be getting an Exynos 7870 SoC and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.

Both the Galaxy J8 and J6 is now available for purchase at all Samsung Experience stores and the Samsung Malaysia Online Store at a retail price of RM999 and RM749 respectively. They both come in three color variants; Purple, Black, and Gold.

Pokdepinion: Well it’s obvious on which of the two is the better device. If you’re tempted to go for one of them, you might as well opt for the Samsung Galaxy J8, offering some flagship feeling and overall better experience.
