By now, most Samsung fans would have scoured the web for more information about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8, and would have found the design, dual camera setup and a larger Infinity Display via some really revealing leaks. Hardware wise there isn’t much to imagine, as Samsung has always either kept the same specifications from the Galaxy S series or some minor upgrades. With all that said, what’s left is when can we get our hands on the device? We don’t know that yet, but we do know that the device will be unveiled in New York on 23rd August at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event.

So what would be expecting to see? Two cameras are confirmed, with the resolution rumored to be 12MP per piece. We are not sure how will Samsung configure them, but the most popular setup used by several brands now is a standard lens mated with a zoom lens. 6GB of RAM should be standard, but we won’t be surprised if Samsung decides to throw 8GB into the Galaxy Note 8. After all, they are touting it as the “ultimate multitasking device”, and it will be far from the ultimate if it doesn’t have the most RAM in the game. The Exynos 8895 should find itself crunching numbers in the Galaxy Note 8, with a Snapdragon 835 or Snapdragon 836 option for selected regions. Given last year’s fiasco, we presume Samsung will probably be playing it safe, and not try to make a jump to any new mind-blowing energy density numbers. With that said, 3500 mAh may be the magic number here, as a 3500 mAh power pack is used in the Galaxy S8+ without any issues.

We are just speculating though, but we hope to see these speculations come true on the 23rd of August. The ill-fated Note7 left a void in the pockets of fans of Samsung’s Note series, as most were forced to hold on to their Note 5s, SuperDaddy included. It’s high time we all get a successor to the Note 5, yes?

Pokdepinion: The Galaxy Note series usually has larger displays than the Galaxy S series, but with the S8+ already featuring a 6.2″ SuperAMOLED panel, I wonder how much further can they go. Of course we must note that the 18.5:9 aspect ratio makes these larger screens more manageable, but I don’t think we can push the boundaries much further in this area. We hope to be proven wrong though.
