Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra S Pen stowage (1)

We’re getting more and more news on the Samsung Galaxy S22 series of smarthphones, with this one being on alleged dummy units of it. If you’re curious to know what it looks like, then let’s dive right into it.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Series Dummy Units Surfaced Online

With a brand new year upon us, we’re expected to see the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 series very soon. It’s no surprise that we’re learning quite a lot of details on the flagship smartphone series, as alleged dummy units of them have surfaced online.

When you look at all 3 devices, it’s not hard to notice the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra standing out more than usual given that the design is rather different compared to the base and plus models. It doesn’t have a camera housing, the rear has a matte finish, and it has a more square-ish design akin to the Galaxy Note series.

You can even see that it has a built-in S Pen silo within the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. From what we know thus far, the display is expected to be a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. The camera is rumored to consist of a 108MP wide-angle camera, a 10MP 10x telephoto camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra wide-angle camera.

Coincidentally, these new alleged leaks popped up at the same time as Samsung making the support pages for all 3 devices go live on their website, albeit it was taken down shortly after. They are listed with the model numbers SM-S901U, SM-S906U, and SM-S908U. The “U” suffix likely refers to the US version of the smartphones as the “N” suffix is typically used for the South Korean version.

As for when we can expect the Samsung Galaxy S22 series to launch, nothing has been confirmed yet. Current expectations put it sometime around February 2022 as we are expected to see the Galaxy S21 FE launch in January 2022. For now, we will report more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: I already have my eyes fully set on the Ultra model. I mean, it’s basically the revival of the Galaxy Note, and I can’t wait to see improvements to the cameras.
