As revealed during the recent Galaxy Unpacked event, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is bringing a huge camera upgrade, but that’s not all. Here’s everything you need to know about the Galaxy S23 series lineup.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Clearly the star of the show here, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra builds on the success of its predecessor, which serves as the spiritual successor of the Galaxy Note series with the inclusion of the built-in S Pen. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and sports a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED edge display with a newly shaped curvature which creates a larger flat surface area over the S22 Ultra. For added protection, the display uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which is said to be more durable while using 22% more pre-consumer recycled materials.

Unlike its other two siblings, this will come with a quad camera setup consisting of a 200MP wide-angle main shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and two 10MP telephotos cameras; one with 3x optical zoom while the other does 10x optical zoom. Once again, they are not including the Contour Cut camera housing from two generations ago here.

In case you were wondering, the battery capacity remains unchanged at 5,000mAh capacity. However, the battery life is still unknown, and it will definitely not be the same as we expect the new chip to be more efficient than last year’s model.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Brings A Huge Leap For Cameras

Just like its predecessors, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are essentially the same phone but with minor differences, most notably the size. It is also powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC but it comes with flat displays sized at 6.1 and 6.6 inches respectively.

As for the camera setup, you will be getting a triple camera system on both consisting of a 50MP wide angle main shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Pokdepinion: I immediately have my eyes on the Lavender colour. It’s the most pleasant looking one for me, and I’ve personally gotten bored of black devices as it ends up looking bland. I definitely can’t wait to see how well that 200MP shooter will perform, especially in low-light environments.
