Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 Prices in Korea Leaked

I’m sure many of you heard of claims that the upcoming foldables will be cheaper / more affordable compared to previous years. Now, we have a the leaked prices of both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 in South Korea, which should give you a better idea of what to expect.

Recent reports have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 will have a retail price between KRW 1,900,000 and KRW 1,999,999 ($1,655 to $1,741 / RM6,938.59 to RM7,299.14) while the Galaxy Z Flip3 will be between KRW 1,200,000 to 1,280,000 ($1,045 to $1,110 / RM4,381.16 to RM4,653.56) in South Korea.

Leaks of the pricing first came from South Korean forum Naver Blog, which also coincides with earlier reports that the new foldable smartphones will be 20% more affordable than its predecessors at launch. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold2 was retailing for KRW 2,398,000 ($2,088 / RM8,753.94) while the Galaxy Z Flip retailed for KRW 1,650,000 ($1,435 / RM6,016.24).

In order to push for higher sales of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3, the Korean giant will having a trade-in program with benefits that will encourage more people to swap out from their old devices to the new foldables. The best trade-in rates will be given to existing Fold and Flip owners, though that will be subjected to the device’s condition as well.

Pokdepinion: That’s a much bigger difference between the Fold and Flip than I expected. I guess I’ll have to wait and see for good trade-in deals and then decide which foldable to go for, hopefully with some good freebies as well.
